PRESENTATIONS AND EDUCATION
Public Presentations and Events
Atlantic Wreck Salvage and the crew of D/V Tenacious speak nationally about shipwreck exploration and discovery. The crew has presented at conferences, including Boston Sea Rovers, the Explorer’s Club, Beneath the Sea, and various maritime associations and museums. We are particularly proud of our ongoing partnership with the New Jersey Maritime Museum, where we present each year about our projects and discoveries.
We offer presentations about any of the shipwrecks we dive, and about ships and shipbuilding generally and about maritime history during the Civil War, WWI, WWI and the Cold War. Contact us for more information.
All Aboard! Education Program
Presentations Available to Teachers and Students
Atlantic Wreck Salvage is committed to educating the public about maritime history. This includes reaching students who will one day be the next generation of underwater explorers. We offer presentations to middle school and high school teachers to help bring Civil War, WWI, WWII, and Cold War history to life for their students. Our presentations typically focus on one shipwreck warship or Naval battle but put the event into a much larger historical context.
A list of presentations is available upon request. We work with educators to customize a presentations to fit school curricula. Presentations can be live via Zoom or pre-recorded and sent as a link.
Atlantic Wreck Salvage has formed an advisory board of educators to work with us to provide additional content to students and teachers, including on-demand access to presentations for teachers through our site.
Dive Industry Presentations
D/V Tenacious conducts dive expeditions both in the United States and abroad. The team is comprised of experienced technical divers who specialize in working deep, cold, dark water far from shore. Our divers must be seasoned, disciplined, and self-sufficient. Members of the team are available to present at dive club and industry events to discuss the technical side of planning, preparing for, and executing expedition dives.
